Hotel Check-In

  • Location: The Dana on Mission Bay, 1710 W Mission Bay Dr, San Diego, CA 92109

  • Check-In Time: 4:00 PM

  • Check-Out Time: 11:00 AM

  • Parking: Onsite parking is available for $35/night.

  • Hotel Amenities: Enjoy the expansive grounds, bay views, on-site dining at Firefly Eatery & Bar, fitness center, 2 outdoor pools and spas, tropical pool bar, and onsite bike and water sport rentals.

IMPORTANT NOTE: When checking into the hotel, you will be required to put a credit card on file for incidentals. Please plan accordingly.

Early check-ins and late check-outs are based on availability and are subject to the following fees:

Early check-in fee(s):

  • 6am – 8:59am: $100

  • 9am – 10:59am: $75

  • 11am – 1:59pm: $50

Late check-out fee(s) :

  • Noon: Complimentary

  • 12:01pm – 1:59pm: $50

  • 2pm – 3:30pm: 1/2 day’s rate

  • 4pm or later: Full day’s rate

Conference Registration & Check-In

  • Times & Location:

    • Monday: 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM (At the Mixer on The Lawn)

    • Tuesday: Starts at 7:30 AM (Mission Bay Ballroom)

  • Pick up your name badge, event materials, and get any questions answered by our team.

Conference Schedule Overview

Monday:

  • Arrival, hotel check-in, and explore the area!

  • Networking Mixer: 5:00 – 7:00 PM (details below!)

Tuesday & Wednesday:

  • Daily sessions begin at 8:00 AM and wrap by 3:30 PM

  • Breakfast is provided on the Mission Bay Ballroom Terrace from 7:00am-8:00am

  • Coffee and Tea will be provided in the ballroom

  • Snacks & Lunch provided daily

  • Breakout sessions, keynote speakers, and interactive panels throughout each day

  • Themes for the Day:

    • Tropical Tuesday: Wear your favorite Hawaiian shirt, floral clothes, or beach inspired attire.

    • School Spirit Wednesday: Rep your school site or district with your favorite gear. Show off your mascot, school colors, and pride for your students!

Thursday:

  • Thursday sessions begin at 8:00 AM and wrap at 11:00 AM

  • Breakfast is provided on the Mission Bay Ballroom Terrace from 7:00am-8:00am

  • Final session, district awards, along with stories and spotlights from Partner Districts

Monday Night Networking Mixer

  • When: Monday, 5:00 – 7:00 PM

  • Where: The Marina Garden located at the south end of the property along the walk path on the bay.

    • Complimentary lite eats, soft drink & ice cream bar

    • DJ Sam playing fun music and a casual atmosphere

    • Connect with fellow attendees before the conference and get some free swag!

About Mission Bay & Local Tips

  • Dining & Entertainment: Mission Bay and the surround area offers several options for food, drinks, and entertainment. Along with being across the street from Sea World, we are within a 10-minute drive from Liberty Station, Ocean Beach, Pacific Beach, and Mission Beach boardwalk & Belmont Park Amusement Park.

  • Transportation: Rideshare services are readily available. Downtown San Diego and the airport are about 15 minutes away.

  • Weather: Expect mild coastal weather. We recommend layers—mornings and evenings can be cool.
